Motorola E6 is a linux-based smartphone. This page is dedicated to new programs for it. Enjoy!

Howto?

Instructions, tips'n'tricks and all that stuff goes there. ~~PAGEINDEX=motorola:howto~~

My Programs

These are programs I made or compiled and packaged. All of them are in form of .pkg apps, so are easy to install.

Native programs

Gameboy

Gameboy is a Gameboy (gb/gbc/gba) emulator for E6. This package consist of two engines - Visual Boy Advance for gb/gbc, and gPSP for gba games. The reason is that VBA is too slow on E6 to play gba, and gPSP can't play gb/gbc. Download

VBA

VBA is a Gameboy (gb/gbc/gba) emulator. This is port of Visual Boy Advance, doesn't have gPSP engine. Tap on file, open with… and choose VBA. Not recommended program though. Download

MotNet

MotNet is a telnet/samba/ftp/www multi-package, that make it easy to connect to your phone. Just connect the wire, tap on MotNet in menu and done. Download (extract with 7zip to get .pkg)

Startup

startup is a easy-to-use init system. Install, put your scripts in /mmc/mmca1/.sys/etc/init.d/ with .sh extension and set this program to startup with yan0 startup.

My binaries

These are programs I ported to work on E6, but do not have any installer. For advanced users, most mere mortals do not need them anyway :)

Misc downloads

  • Download and gunzip on your phone. Now you can activate swap (128 mb)
  • terminfo - contains terminfo entries, needed by ncurses programs.
  • modules - kernel modules to support ext2/ext3 filesystems and loop mount. Contains 4 modules - ext2.o, ext3.o, jbd.o, loop.o. jbd.o is required for others to work. Use insmod to activate them.
